

Dr. Hu is an internationally recognized expert with more than 30 years of experience spanning the full lifecycle of reactor technology development, from concept evaluation and safety analysis to licensing, testing, deployment, and operational support. Her expertise includes research and test reactors, molten salt reactor systems, isotope production, reactor safety analysis, and advanced reactor technologies. She has served in technical and advisory roles with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), the American Nuclear Society (ANS), and international research reactor organizations. She currently leads MIT research projects focused on High-Assay Low-Enriched Uranium (HALEU) fuel conversion and Reactor Simulator Digital Twin development. Dr. Hu is a Fellow of the American Nuclear Society.
