This single fluid fuel salt combined with chemical processing is the key to  safely breeding from thorium. 

Fissionaire’s design does not employ a breeding blanket and doesn't produce weapon’s grade uranium.

Fuel salt is circulated through channels of proprietary ceramic composites in the core.

These ceramic composite tubes are designed to handle high radiation, heat, and corrosiveness.

The fuel salt flows via natural convection, eliminating one of the most complex components of an MSR, a molten salt pump that can withstand continuous irradiation, and corrosive salts at high temperatures.

Molten FLiBe salt, but without fuel, flows outside each fuel tube, maximizing heat transfer.  This now even hotter coolant salt is pumped at high volumes and low pressures, exiting the core and removing the heat from the fission taking place in the cores fuel tubes.

Optimized for maximum fuel utilization and heat transfer, leaving radiation in the core, our system produces the highest exergy (ability to do work) of any reactor design.
