Position Overview:

As our inaugural Supply Chain Director, you'll establish and lead our supply chain operations from the ground up. You'll focus on scaling procurement, vendor management, and logistics to support our growth in a high-tech, regulated environment, ensuring reliable sourcing for reactor development and manufacturing. This position is remote with hybrid transition to Madison, WI.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop Supply Chain management policies, procedures and systems.
  • Implement supply chain management technologies to drive efficiency and ensure compliance.
  • Craft strategic supply chain roadmaps, including global sourcing and diversification.
  • Identify and qualify suppliers for specialized materials, systems, components, and equipment.
  • Oversee procurement processes, contract negotiations to minimize costs and risks.
  • Ensure compliance with nuclear regulations and international trade laws.
  • Collaborate with engineering, R&D, and operations teams on material sourcing.
  • Identify and manage supply chain risks to minimize the impact of disruptions and ensure robust sources of supply in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Navigate complex vendor ecosystems and negotiate strategic alliances.

qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field; Master's or certifications (e.g., CSCP, CPSM) preferred.
  • 7+ years of supply chain experience, with 3+ years in a leadership role.
  • Background in high-growth startups or regulated industries like energy, aerospace, or manufacturing; strong preference for nuclear sector experience.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement best practices, global sourcing, and risk management.
  • Knowledge of nuclear-specific regulations, export controls, and quality assurance.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent negotiation, analytical, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, innovative setting with a focus on scalability.
  • Strong business acumen, leadership, and ability to influence stakeholders.
  • Data proficiency in forecasting, analytics, and ERP systems.
  • Commitment to strategic innovation and ethical practices.
  • US Citizen or permanent resident
